Yes, It is a recombinant virus containing elements of the Ebola virus
and the bacterium E. coli. (strain 0157 if I remember right). The use of
dirty needles from Zaire to inject antibiotics into cattle harboring the
shigella like E. coli. has caused many people who eat semi-cooked hamburgers
from a certain western restaurant chain to fall ill with bloody diarrhea.

     Just kidding :)

Why do so many people ask about "Eboli"? If you mean Ebola, there are man
y
good popular works such as Richard Prestons "The Hot Zone" (about Ebola
outbreaks in Yambuku and Nzara, and the "harmless" Ebola monkey outbreak in
Reston. Laurie Garrett's "The Coming Plague" covers many emerging diseases
and the human actions which causes their emergence. For scientific literature
search (using medline or scientific scitations index) for Ebola or filovirus
or filoviridae.
